I remember when I had my intake call with Rachel and her wonderful mother Juli. The dreaded words “boho” were spoken and I thought…are they sure they want to work with me? Boho has never really been my vibe, but I felt a great connection with them and decided taking my spin on a boho aesthetic would be a fun challenge. They chose the beautiful modern farmhouse of Salt Water Farm on San Juan Island and from there I got to work recreating this venue into a sort of chic summer camp vibe. From the black cabins throughout the property, we pulled into accents of black to go with their largely nude and blush color palette. Floral was done in single ingredient arrangements of various sizes throughout the reception, with the ceremony focusing on a central, all baby’s breath arch.
